A tough match for Chard after a month with no game. Axminster currently sit top of our league and this showed in the first half, somewhat helped by the fact Chard never got going throughout the first 35 mins are rarely strung two passes together. George saved a penalty mid way through the half to keep the score at 0-2 come half time. The second half was a completely different game with Chard shooting down the slope and a slight tactical change meant they began dominating possession and minimised Axminster’s chances in front of goal. Morgan with the assist for Fabio to score for Chard . With 5 minutes remaining Fabio was inches away from chipping the keeper the get Chard the draw they deserved. With the clock ticking into the final seconds of the match Chard had a corner and every single player was in the Axminster penalty box,even George  made the mad dash to get there only for Dexter to fail and beat the man at the near post.
