Chard Town U13's made the short trip to East Coker this afternoon with 8 players unavailable and another pulling out in the warm up through illness and feel hard done by coming away with nothing. Chard took the lead through a superb passing move involving Zach and Fabio and finished nicely into the corner of the net by Oliver in the 15th minute. East Coker equalised with 5 minutes to go until half time. Chard never got going at the start of the second half and conceded another goal within 2 minutes. The game became fairly stretched with Chard defending very well with make shift centre back Owen having the best game of his season so far. With a few lacks of concentration in the Chard team East Coker had a few good chances and were awarded a penalty which they converted. A really good effort all round from Chard with a few players having to play completely out of their normal positions. Theo, Lucas and Wilf all putting in a shift in unfamiliar areas of the field.
